Christmas in Manado
Majority of Manadonese is Christian so, can you imagine what will happen on Christmas? Just forget the snow, the light and the competitions in your country because Christmas in Manado feels so GREAT. The feels of Christmas even can be felt from September (can you believe that?) while Manadonese called it “Ber-Ber Month”, which is : September, October, November and December. At the beginning of December, you can enjoy approximately Santa Claus Week while, groups of Youth Christian will travel Manado to visit each registered child for “Santa Claus Meet and Greet” so, at that first week, on the afternoon, you can see minimal 3 groups of Santa Claus with loud speaker, Christmas song and of course the displays of people who use costumes of Santa Claus and its various assistants. Feel that it’s not enough? Just go to Boulevard and feels the Christmas sensation offered by each mall and department stores. Trust me, it’s just a small part of Christmas in Manado so, I’ll wait for you to come here. As additional, my “bad” friends had ever registered me in this event (huwaa…can you imagine how ashamed I was when Santa Claus Assistant called my name by using loudspeaker in my environment) and worst of it,you know what my gift was? A medicine to reduce the pain when I’m in menstruation.
